Markus and Alexandra’s Kirstenbosch Wedding
A guestpost by associate photographer Heidi Louw
Markus & Alexandra got married in the beautiful Gardens of Kirstenbosch. We coudn’t have asked for better weather conditions on their wedding day – whilst the rest of Cape Town was almost being blown away, we enjoyed the peaceful tranquillity of a slight breeze and very hot weather. The Table Mountain range and tall trees surrounding us created a wonderful barrier warding off any gusting winds that could threaten to blow us all around the gardens. The ceremony was held outside in the Gazebo, with only their very closest family. It was very intimate and very special. Both Markus and Alexandra are from Heidielberg in Germany (where they met) and visited the gardens a couple of years ago on a round trip across the world. It holds some very special memories for them and this is what made them decide to come back here and get married in the garden. I fellt myself feeling very much at home with the couple quite quickly, as I speak German myself (eventhough it isn’t always as fluent as I’d like it to be
). Thank you Markus & Alexandra for a very special day shared with you two – I wish you a wonderful future together filled with much love, laughter and many blessings …
